Barista parlor needed a menu that could change as often as their coffees. We wanted to make something simple but substantial that would fit into the rest of the design we had created for the space. Using birch and rivets in the construction - the interior sheets are removable and printed onsite as needed.
The Alpha Boys grew out of an Uncommissioned Public Art Project - in their previous incarnation they were letterpress printed onto paper and glued to sticks. We remade them in birch plywood and finished them with oil based printing ink - riveted to a brass support. It makes me happy to see them dance around the space all day long - kinetic art that fulfills a both an artistic and practical need.
